About Us

The Zonta Club of Metropolitan Dunedin was chartered on 28 August 1997.

We meet for dinner on the first Tuesday of the month (except January) at The Dunedin Club, 33 Melville Street, Dunedin Central.

Club meetings usually consist of a time for fellowship, dinner, a speaker and a business session, concluding with the drawing of the night’s raffle.

As well as the cost associated with the dinner each month, membership subscription is due annually in May, and is guided by the US exchange rate. Membership is usually about $250 per year.

Every member belongs to a committee which usually meets during the week following the club meeting. The committees organise events, such as service projects, fellowship outings, fundraisers and take care of the application forms and process. Some of our activities can be seen on the Projects page.

Members are encouraged to give their time and commitment to attend meetings and engage in fellowship and service activities.
